One of the considerations when buying a RO system is its capacity. Usually, any ro system that produces 40 gallon per day is good enough for an average. However, there might be special circumstances where your requirement for clean water is much higher. It can be for commercial purposes, gardening or other non home related usage. Regardless of the reason, here are some of the best reverse osmosis system for 2016 that can produce 200 gallon per day of clean water.
Hydrologic RO200 review
The Hydrologic Stealth RO200 is one of the top rated reverse osmosis system in the market that can produce the desired 200 gallon per day output.
The water quality produced by this ro unit is excellent. The TDM can easily go below the 10 ppm mark, regardless of how high your home’s initial TDM is. To maintain this quality, it is advisable to change your filter every 6 months.
Speed is also excellent. You need only about 9 minutes to fill a galleon of water, which is why it can do 200 gallon per day without problems.
Best of all, the price is very reasonable. It is around USD 200+ and is considered on the low end side if you compare the pricing to other similar products. It is definitely a value for money ro system.
The only downside is that there is no automatic shutoff with system, i.e. your home might be flooded if you are not careful. Fortunately, there is an easy answer to this and it is to set the timer.
iSpring Commercial Reverse Osmosis System
The iSpring is not a strange to the world of reverse osmosis. On this website, I have already reviewed several iSpring models including the iSpring tankless reverse osmosis system.
This 300 GPD model is one that can produce 200 gallon of water per day. It comes with a booster pump so that explains how it can generate a faster water flow to meet the high capacity demand.
Quality wise, it can easily each a TDS of under 10 ppm. Regardless of whether your water is from the well or other polluated sources, this RO system can easily clean it all up.
The only thing I feel might be off putting is the price. It is a whopping USD500+ unit so it is not a cheap ro system by any means.
Growonix Reverse Osmosis System
The Growonix ro system is another reverse osmosis system that can produce 200 gallon per day. This is in part due to their water efficiency ratio, which is around 2:1. In comparison, a typical home ro system’s water wastage ratio is around 3:1.
This increased efficiency means that you can get more clean water at a faster rate.
To maintain this high output, it is worth considering the purchase of a flash valve. Its purpose is to help clear the membrane and maintain its high water output. The flash valve is not too expensive and is worth the investment, IMHO.
Conclusion
All the reverse osmosis systems featured here are capable of producing 200 gallon per day. The only thing you need to note is that all of them do not come with tanks so you can’t store the water as they need to be connected directly to your plumping set up.
My preference is for the Hydrologic RO200. It is affordable and produces quality water at the 200 gallon per day capacity.
